What does a hub work day at the Pigeon Center in W

What does a hub work day at the Pigeon Center in Waynesville, NC, look like weeks after Helene hit? It looks like busy bees and solidarity! Allies with @rednecksrising
packed up 30 totes and ran them out to folks impacted the storm.

As winter sets in, temperatures drop, and the economic crisis of disaster compounds the physical stressors folks are being exposed to, communities continue to come together to support each other and build back together. While many hubs have had to reduce open hours for donation deliveries, supplies ARE still needed, and the MADR supply line is strong! Together, we get it where it is needed. From food and clothing to tools and totes! From locals to regional affinity groups and crews coming in to share their time and labor, the response continues, from holler to holler and the spaces in between.

We know today is heavy for our community. We are here. For each other. We are stronger, together.

Whether you need to relax with hebal tea or find security in being a prepared bee, our movements have been creating the content for caring for each other for years. Because this is just one of the many disasters we have and will face together. Because we forge safety through solidarity. Because we save each other. Because we will survive this storm, like we have the others. Because rebellions are built on hope. Because all we have is each other.
